Weight Gain During Pregnancy

How much should you gain? The answer to that lies in how much you weighed before you got pregnant. If you were not over or under weight most experts agree that between 25 and 35 pounds is reasonable. If you were over weight prior to pregnancy, then your doctor may recommend you gain less - no more than 15-25 pounds. If you were under weight than it may be suggested that you gain closer to 40 or 45 pounds.
Let’s be clear – pregnancy is not the time you should be dieting and trying to loose weight. Having a baby – a healthy baby is the end goal!
